CHARITY & COMMUNITY
We endeavour to share our stories and knowledge about farming through our charity and community work. We have hosted countless groups of young people over the years and have been the recipient of numerous national and international awards recognising our ongoing contribution. We also sponsor the womens, girls and junior sections of Redbourn Cricket Club.
Our Charity, The Farmschool, was founded by Ian Pigott in 2013, (Charity number 1161991).
Dedicated to promoting and advancing awareness in everyone, but particularly 8 – 18 year old school children, of where their food comes from, how it is produced, and how farmers preserve our environment.
MISSION
Our emphasis is being relevant to the lives of young people. From ‘fork to farm’ not ‘farm to fork’. Developing exemplars of creative, interactive and inspirational learning techniques that benefit students, teachers and the farming industry.
